Earthquakes

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well!  It has been eventful here for me and a lot of people have asked my Mommy and Daddy about how I handled the recent earthquakes here in Southern California.  While I wanted to run to my Mommy during the 6.4 earthquake on July 4th, this image captures my reaction to the 7.1 earthquake on July 5th:

That’s right, I slept through the big one!  Mommy and Daddy told me that I should use my puppy senses and warn them next time before another big earthquake.  At least I know that they have food packed for me in the family emergency kit so I won’t go hungry!  Everyone preparing their emergency kits, don’t forget about your furry family members too, woof!

Oh boy, oh boy, it is playtime!!

Hurry up and throw my ball, Daddy!

img_8937-m

I will bark at you if you don’t throw it fast enough!!

Yay, I got it!  It’s mine!

Playtime always makes me smile, it is so much fun!

Let’s play again soon, Daddy, okay?  Woof!

Happy Father’s Day!

On Father’s Day, my gift to all fathers and those who father is my irresistibly cute face.

Thank you to my Daddy for cleaning up after me, taking me on walkies, and bringing me to fun places like the pet store.  It is only because of you that I can be such a cute old man puppy!  Woof!

A few weeks ago, I got to visit Grandma and Grandpa!  It was so much fun.  I especially love being able to run around in their backyard.  Mommy insisted I take some photos with the flowers.  I guess they are pretty, but I don’t know what the big fuss was about.  Mommy also made me wear my bow tie because she said I looked cute.  I guess she’s right about that one.

To be honest, the highlight of the whole photo shoot was getting extra treats that Daddy hid for me.

I swiped it right up with my tongue.  See the treat hidden in the photo above?  Tasty treats are definitely the most fun.  I’ll pose for you again if I get another treat!  Woof!

Mommy was too busy to post these last month, but I really enjoyed sakura time.  The cherry blossoms in the neighborhood were so pretty!

Mommy said I had to pose with them, which I did as long as she gave me a treat.  Of course all I really wanted to do was eat the blossoms Mommy and Daddy posed in front of me.  Then they got stuck in my beard and I didn’t really like that.

I can’t wait for next year to eat more sakura–I mean pose with the sakura!  Woof!

Gotcha Day!

Ten years ago, I went on adventure to my forever home.  It included an airplane ride with a strange man who called himself my Daddy and ended with me arriving in my new home.

Ten years later, I can say that I am a very lucky pup.  I’m so happy to have so many special friends and family and I am thankful that Mommy and Daddy love to spoil me.  Now, how about something yummy to eat to celebrate my Gotcha Day?  Extra nums, okay Daddy?  Woof!

Mommy has been too busy to help me blog, but I’ve been enjoying life.  Yesterday was particularly fun!  I went to my first Norwich/Norfolk Noripaluza and it was great!  I met 26 other Norwich and 2 Norfolk, I’ve never seen so many of my kin in one place!

Want to meet some of my new friends?  Here they are!  This is Calle, she is a puppy.  Mommy thinks she is my new puppy girlfriend.

She is super cute and wanted to play!

img_8724-m

I also hung out with Gus.  He’s a handsome guy and his parents really loved me.

This is Honey Badger.  I’m not really sure if he liked me saying hi.  He got to sit in a wagon, I’m jealous!

img_8748-l

This is Eddie.  Eddie and I fought over this taco, but after it somehow disappeared, I think we’re okay now.

img_8792-m

This is Gidget.  She is Norfolk and just wanted to give me kisses!  She is a sweetie.

This is Gable, who was more interested in his Mom’s sandwich than me.

These puppies are Winston and Oliver.  They are siblings and their grandma helped organize the event so they were sure to greet everyone at the party.

img_8751-m

This is also Winston, but he didn’t like me.

I had so much fun!

I can’t wait to see everyone again in October!  Woof!

Groomed

Yesterday was a really stressful day for me because Daddy took me to the groomer.  Everyone says I look super cute now, but I don’t see what was wrong with my old fluffy look.

This is what I look like now:

img_e8874-m

Yes, a lot less fur after being stripped and taking a bath.  The groomer even gave me this kerchief, which Mommy seems to think is absolutely adorable.  I bet she’s going to make me wear it a lot now.  I’m just waiting for my marrow bone as a reward for being a good boy.  Now is a good time for that, right?  Woof!

Rain

You know, I really haven’t enjoyed all the rain we have been having lately.  I hate getting wet.

img_8718-m

Luckily it didn’t rain much today so I didn’t get as soaked as I did in earlier rainstorms this year.  It isn’t fun to be a wet dog!  Woof!

Fleece snuggles

If you have been wondering what I have been up to over the past few weeks, it has involved a lot of snuggling with fleece.  Grandma recently made me more blankies and Mommy and Daddy finally figured out how much I love my fleece blankets and snuggling with them when it is cold.  Here are a few shots:

Now, if only there were some treats involved as well, I would be living the dream!  Woof!
