It has been wet outside over the past few days, especially yesterday.  I hate getting wet, it’s absolutely the worst!  Here’s a selfie of me after going on walkies yesterday afternoon.

Mommy says we need the rain, but I just wish it didn’t mean I have to get wet.  I’m miserable when I’m wet!  Woof!

January walkies

It’s only January but the weather is so warm out!  One of the flowering trees has already bloomed and is losing its flowers.  They still look pretty on the grass after they have fallen.  I would have rather just admired them from afar, but Mommy insist I take a photo with them.

I can’t wait for the other flowers to bloom in our neighborhood!  Woof!

It’s been a little cold outside, at least for LA standards, but I still have been enjoying the sun when we go on my daily afternoon walkies.  One of my favorite things to do is to hunt squirrels–so much that I don’t have time to look at Mommy when she’s trying to take my picture.

I suppose you could say that I look very thoughtful, but let me tell you the truth: I’m hunting for squirrels because they like to run on the telephone wire next to my home.  You never know when one will go by when Daddy is trying to open the door!  I hope that I can find one really soon, woof!

I really dislike the rain.  Mommy says we need the rain, but I don’t want to get my paws wet!  We haven’t had rain for a very long time but got a lot of rain on Monday and Tuesday and I didn’t like it.  There was water everywhere.  Not only do my paws and fur get wet, I have to cross puddles and lots of water at corners!  Luckily, I usually just look up at Daddy like this:

When I give Daddy this look, he knows to pick me up.  Yup, that’s right, my Daddy will carry me across the puddles and rivers so I don’t have to walk through them.  Isn’t that great?  Thanks, Daddy!  Now how about taking that umbrella out with us so water doesn’t fall on my head as well?  Woof!

Oh boy, today was so much fun.  I got to see Aunty Tracy and Cousin Iko in the park!  First, I said hi.

Then Cousin Iko and I played.

Then I tried to eat his snacks.

Then Cousin Iko decided to try to pet me.

And then Cousin Iko gave me a leaf to eat.  I don’t understand why Daddy wasn’t pleased about that.

All in all, I had a lot of fun.  Let’s hang out again soon!  Woof!

Over the weekend, I got to go to the pet store.  It was so much fun!  On the walk from the car to the pet store, I had an encounter with this strange creature.  When in doubt, bark!

I was still uncertain about it, but then remembered we had the pet store to visit!  Daddy bought me lots of treats so I soon forgot about this.  Why worry about some strange creature when you have new yummy snacks?  Woof!

Monday walkies

Oh boy, oh boy, it’s a beautiful Monday for walkies this afternoon!  I had so much fun going out with Daddy.

Daddy, one of my friends lives here.  If I wait long enough, do you think he’ll come out and say hi?  It would be so much fun!  Woof!

When you have a great walkies, you can’t help but smile, even if you know Mommy’s trying to take a picture of you and you normally don’t like looking at the camera.

By the way, I did get a treat for sitting for the photo and being a good boy.  I guess in that sense, it was worth it!  Wanna take more pictures?  Will sit for treats!  Woof!

Shopping is the best because Daddy always buys me lots of stuff…especially when Mommy isn’t around to say no.

Here’s a recent haul from Paws and Claws when I was visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Oakland!  Daddy already opened the Zukes for me to try–gotta make sure I like them, right?!  I can’t wait to eat to eat those smoked marrow bones.  They smell sooooo good!  I don’t have to take a bath to earn one of these, right?  Right?!  Woof!

Today was such a beautiful day for walkies!  Not too hot outside thankfully.

I’m a bit sad that I didn’t run into any of my friends today and I got in trouble when I barked at a dog on the other side of a fence, but all in all, it was fun to go outside!  Now that I’ve been exercised, I’m ready for my dinner!  It’s numnums time now, right?  Woof!
